Mitie has won a two-year security contract at an NHS Trust in Shropshire, with an option to extend a further two years, worth £400,000 a year.
Shrewsbury and Telford Hospitals NHS Trust runs the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital and the Princess Royal Hospital in Telford. Mitie's security business will provide cover at both sites to maintain a safe environment for patients, visitors and staff.
The contract boosts Mitie's large portfolio of NHS security contracts around the UK, including Oxford University Hospitals and University Hospital Southampton.
Jason Towse, managing director of Mitie's security business, said: "Mitie's continued investment in this sector, and track record will help the trust ensure safety at these important local hospitals."
