Open-access content 18th April 2018

18 April 2018 | Marino Donati

Ruby Wax OBE and Sir Clive Woodward will complete Facilities Show 2018's line-up of inspirational speakers.

Comedian and mental health expert Ruby Wax OBE and English rugby legend Sir Clive Woodward will give contrasting talks on the importance of positive professional environments in sustaining and growing a healthy, happy, high-achieving workforce.

They will join Nicky Moffat CBE, who was the British Army's highest-ranking female officer, who will also give a keynote talk as an inspirational speaker at the event.

Writer and actor Wax has become a respected expert and high-profile campaigner for raising greater awareness of mental health issues.

She is a visiting professor in mental health nursing at the University of Surrey, a patron for the British Neuroscience Association, has worked with the Home Office to raise awareness of mental health, and has collaborated with Google on how technology can aid mindfulness.

Wax will combine psychological insights with her understanding of writing, performing and humour to talk on the importance of good mental health as well as tackling the problems of communication within businesses and organisations, especially for leaders.

Sir Clive Woodward guided England to victory in the 2003 Rugby World Cup and three Six Nations tournaments. He has since served as director of sport at the British Olympic Association, working in partnership with UK Sport. He also worked at Rank Xerox in the UK and Australia, and as sales director in the Ford Group before forming his own successful leasing operation.

Credited with bringing world-class professionalism, cutting-edge techniques and new management skills to English rugby, Clive will explain how this back-room expertise can be applied effectively to businesses in preparation for challenging situations and to enable optimum service delivery.

The Facilities Show runs from 19-21 June at ExCeL, London. To find out more and to book go to: www.facilitiesshow.com
