In the build-up to ThinkFM on 1 May, we're detailing the speakers and topics at BIFM's annual showcase conference.
Who: Vicky Pryce, economist and former joint head of the UK government economic service
What: Pryce will discuss the economic 'big picture' and the 'dark art' of forecasting, focusing on Brexit and how companies can respond to the social responsibility expectations of the new CCS framework.
When: 09.15-09.55 - it's the keynote address.
About Pryce: She is an economist, renowned author and co-founder of GoodCorporation, a company set up to promote corporate social responsibility. She was previously partner and chief economist at KPMG and held chief economist positions in the banking and oil sectors.
What is ThinkFM: The annual flagship conference from the British Institute of Facilities Management (BIFM). Hosted on 1 May at 200 Aldersgate near St Paul's Cathedral and the Barbican, London. It encourages debate and future thinking about the FM profession, focusing on how the industry needs to evolve to deliver benefits to business, the economy and wider society.
With this year's theme Think(beyond)FM 'Adapt or Disappear', delegates can expect discussion of the major disruptors in facilities management and how businesses and individuals can turn them into advantages.
