Stockport Council has selected Robertson Facilities Management as the new supplier to provide management of the facilities within its property portfolio.
It comes following the liquidation of Carillion PLC, which previously managed facilities for Stockport Council.
Robertson began delivering a 12-month contract on 2 July.
Robertson now manages a range of council facilities including the Stockport Civic Complex, community buildings, libraries and property services to schools.
Robertson has directly employed a number of staff who previously worked in Carillion to ensure that the knowledge and experience of managing the council's facilities are retained.
