This week Heads Together, a campaign to fight the stigma surrounding mental illness, and mental health charity Mind launched ?#MentalHealthAtWork? - a new online gateway to resources and information developed to help workplaces improve staff well-being.
The gateway offers support for line managers, colleagues and staff and ways to assess an organisation's approach and ideas to improve workplace culture and help to develop policy and practice.
Prince William, Duke of Cambridge, helped to launch the project.
He said: "If we are going to improve the mental health of our nation we need to improve things at work. People spend more time there than almost anywhere else, yet research shows that it's also the place where we're least comfortable talking about mental health."
He added: "A quarter of the British people are, at work, silently trying to cope with a mental health problem on their own."
He said: "If every workplace in Britain embodies a positive approach to supporting mental health - communities, families, everyone in society can benefit."
