Infrastructure support service provider Amey has secured a deal to provide a range of FM services at the new head office of the UK Hydrographic Office (UKHO) in Taunton, Devon.
The UKHO, an executive agency sponsored by the Ministry of Defence, collects and supplies hydrographic and geospatial data for the Royal Navy and merchant shipping to protect lives at sea.
Starting on 1st January 2019, the initial three-year £1.3 million per annum contract will see Amey supply FM services to UKHO. This includes a focused maintenance approach, providing planned and reactive maintenance, helpdesk services, and energy and asset management.
Amey has extensive experience delivering FM services within secure environments for the MoD and its executive agency. This new contract builds on Amey's defence portfolio, which includes the MoD's Whitehall headquarters in London.
"The contract further strengthens our position as a trusted partner in the defence sector. Our understanding of FM operations within secure environments means that we are perfectly placed to deliver innovative and sustainable outcomes that deliver true value," said Amey CEO Andy Milner.
