Incentive Tec, the building services division of Incentive FM Group, has been chosen to design and install key features to maintain a new student accommodation building in Bristol.
Incentive Tec will be responsible for the design and installation of all the mechanical and electrical (M&E) aspects of the development in Dean Street, including CCTV, door access, fire alarms, smoke vents, sprinklers and air conditioning. The remit also includes all plumbing and heating requirements.
It will work closely with the main contractor, national construction business WRW, on the 12-month project. The companies are already working together on an eco-friendly housing development in Bruton, Somerset.
The multimillion-pound development is being built by Atlas Land with backing from Octopus Property.
It will include 225-bedroom spaces arranged in self-contained cluster flats, together with ground-floor units comprising a café, office, and gym floor space, as well as ancillary facilities including communal study space, cycle parking provision and a shared garden.
Gary Smith, pre-construction director at Incentive Tec, said: "This is a complex project with a challenging city centre location so coordination of all the building services is key. Our proven experience on these kinds of projects will ensure that we can deliver high-quality work to tight deadlines."
