Support services firm Designer Group and construction services provider Sisk have agreed to enter into a joint venture to deliver facilities management services in Ireland.
The partnership is subject to approval by the Irish Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC) agency.
If approved, the venture will deliver "a fully integrated facility management service to the extensive customer bases of both Designer Group and Sisk, as well as to new customers".
Michael Stone, CEO of Designer Group, which also has UK offices, said the company was "ambitious for and see real possibilities in the facilities management sector in Ireland".
Stone added that he anticipated a period for the company in which it would have "the capacity and platform to offer and provide these large-scale maintenance contracts within the public and private sectors to both leading national and international organisations".
Law firm LK Shields of Dublin helped negotiate the acquisition.
