The Institute of Workplace and Facilities Management launches its annual Pay and Prospects survey today (31 January).
It is the institute's 14th annual survey and it helps to build a picture of the workplace and facilities management landscape and give an understanding of its profile in the long-term.
More specifically, the purpose of the survey is "to identify trends in pay, working conditions and prospects for new and existing workplace and facilities management professionals".
The well-established survey provides a snapshot of salaries, benefits, training and qualifications throughout the profession, as well as an opportunity to explore evolving trends for the sector.
Last year's survey was completed by more than 500 professionals.
Its core finding was "a demonstrable confidence boost for sector professionals who had undertaken an IWFM qualification or become an institute member".
The results also showed a strong emphasis on the significance of salary levels while revealing some fluctuation in pay progression and improved opportunities for promotion.
