Public services provider Amey has been appointed by United Utilities to look after its South region wastewater network.
The six-year contract, which started on 1 April, involves key objectives to "improve customer experience, bring innovation and help to proactively identify and resolve issues on the network before they impact customers".
Amey has secured contracts as a partner for specialist services and small projects in both waste and clean water.
Kevin Fowlie, United Utilities' network delivery director, said the contract awards would "help us improve customer experience, achieve the highest standards of health and safety and provide an end-to-end view of all the maintenance activities in progress".
