Sitemark, the independent industry benchmark organisation, has won three contracts in the education sector.
The organisation will work with the University of Worcester to support its forthcoming recycling and waste tender, and will produce a recycling and waste strategy review to support the university's sustainability strategy. The work will include a collaboration with housing company Fortis on a recycling bag scheme for the local area.
Sitemark will also support the University of Birmingham as it looks to select a suitable hazardous waste provider after the completion of its review into hazardous waste benchmarking.
Additionally, Sitemark will work across the Royal Veterinary College's two main sites in London and Hertfordshire to benchmark its recycling and waste processes, and advise on measures to increase recycling rates.
Paul Taylor, recycling and waste manager at Sitemark, said: "These types of organisation have unique challenges and goals and we are looking forward to working with each of the teams to help them understand their facilities and identify innovative ways to improve them."
