Facilities management company Arcus has been awarded four fresh contracts with Sainsbury's - its largest client.
Under one contract, Arcus will deliver planned preventive maintenance and reactive services on shutters and gates for all Sainsbury's stores across the UK, with the exception of Northern Ireland.
The company says this contract demonstrates how the FM organisation is able to make "great cost-savings for Sainsbury's, by providing an integrated service".
The deal will bring an additional 7,000 assets to Arcus's portfolio.
The second contract awarded is for the servicing of checkouts and cash conveyance. This will see Arcus look after the belted checkouts across the retailer's supermarket and convenience estate and cash conveyance systems across the national estate.
The third contract secured is a partnership with Classic Lifts to provide maintenance and reactive services on all lifts and scissor lifts within Manchester and the surrounding areas. This is something new for Arcus and will see its in-store colleagues work in synergy with Classic Lifts to reduce work order volumes and increase uptime of assets by daily monitoring.
The fourth part of the deal will see the business - in conjunction with the Sainsbury's team - manage and deliver services to a 55-site estate where Sainsbury's is the landlord to various tenants.
These wins build on Arcus's existing FM contract with Sainsbury's, which remains in place until 2026.
