Housing repairs and maintenance provider Wates Living Space has been appointed to the Tower Hamlets Homes block refurbishment framework, a four-year pipeline of housing renovation works in East London.
The assignment will see the business grow its portfolio across Greater London. The business also recently began a 20-year partnership with Clarion Housing Group to deliver planned maintenance across North London.
Valued at about £40 million to £50 million over its duration, the Tower Hamlets Homes' framework works will facilitate internal and external planned maintenance across the ALMO's (Arm's Length Management Organisation) estate.
The framework builds on Wates Living Space's current work with Tower Hamlets Homes, which includes roof replacement and structural work at Dickinson House and external wall insulation removal and reinstallation at Brewster and Maltings House.
David Morgan, managing director of Wates Property Services, said: "As with all of our contracts, our work in Tower Hamlets will see us create many opportunities to engage with our neighbours through training and community initiatives to ensure we are a positive presence in the borough."
