Spie UK has won a four-month life cycle replacement contract with technology firm Cisco at its UK office in Bedfont Lakes, in Feltham.
The contract encompasses plant replacement in 3no live buildings. The work is being carried out as the plant has been in place for 19 years and requires an upgrade.
As part of the works, Spie will carry out full replacement of existing boilers, including new flue dilution systems. It will also replace chilled water (CHW) pumps, kitchen AHU and extractor fans, install a new hot water supply system to serve the kitchens, replace the heat pump serving the atrium under-floor heating in the largest of the 3no buildings and put in new AC units to serve the client product demonstration lab and the comms room.
Spie will also complete a building management systems upgrade, including the installation of a new ADX server and replacement of existing network control and automation engines to meet the requirements of the Metasys Revision 10 software.
Steven Farmer, divisional managing director at Spie UK, said: "Spie engineer, manage and optimise smart spaces and places, leveraging emerging technologies for our customers that improve where people work, learn and live, so it's fantastic to work for another organisation that is also helping to enhance people's lives using the latest technologies."
