City Facilities Management has been awarded a new long-term FM contract with Asda.
City began its partnership with Asda in 1997, and it has now grown to include a full range of FM services across its supermarkets, offices and distribution sites in the UK.
The company provides a full range of FM services including electrical, fabric and building maintenance, energy management and cleaning services, supported by a 24/7 helpdesk, across more than 630 Asda retail stores and offices in the UK.
City has worked closely with Asda for the duration of the partnership and has driven innovation and a wide range of efficiencies across the retail environment.
Will Smith, Asda's vice-president of real estate, facilities and market development, said: "The continued partnership will bring a broad range of benefits. We have a clear appreciation of the importance of continual innovation and harnessing the benefits of new technologies.
"Through the development of connected buildings across the portfolio with City, we have a focus on data-driven decision-making to improve the sustainability performance of the Asda portfolio alongside improving overall asset performance and efficiency and to enhance the retail experience for the 19 million customers who visit our stores each week."
