Housing maintenance provider Wates Living Space has been appointed to the South East Consortium (SEC) Internal and External Building Works Framework.
The framework is set to run for four-years and offers public sector organisations OJEU-compliant access to a range of planned maintenance services offering customers the options of either mini-tender or direct award.
The appointment has seen Wates Living Space secure positions on five lots under the framework including:
- Lot 1b: Major refurbishments over £1 million;
- Lot 2: Kitchens and bathrooms;
- Lot 3: Windows and doors; and
- Lot 4a and 4b: Flat and pitched roofing.
Wates Living Space ranked first on price and quality combined for lot 1b, lot 2 and lots 4a and 4b. First rank enables clients to appoint Wates Living Space directly without the need for further competition from the framework.
Marc Baines, managing director of SEC, said: "The outgoing framework saw £111 million of contract awards - so this is a fantastic opportunity with a new model to see if we can deliver even more savings for the sector and beyond."
