NHS Property Services (NHSPS) has appointed Alison Davies as head of corporate responsibility.
Davies will develop and lead delivery of the organisation's corporate social responsibility strategy. This includes establishing a programme that creates more spaces to support social prescribing, whereby people can benefit from non-clinical, local services, provided by community and voluntary sector organisations that improve patient health and wellbeing.
She was previously head of corporate responsibility at international built environment consultant Turner & Townsend.
Davies said: "NHS Property Services has an important purpose - helping the NHS to transform to enable excellent patient care.
"We are developing an ambitious corporate responsibility agenda at NHS Property Services that connects everything we do back to how we add value to the NHS and society at large. I'm particularly keen to grow NHSPS's work on social prescribing and to take a leading role in creating spaces to support wellbeing in our local communities."
