The Better Buildings Partnership (BBP) is inviting major corporate occupiers to collaborate on a new owner-occupier forum on sustainability issues.
The forum is part of the BBP's Climate Commitment published earlier this year, and aims to bring together senior real estate decision-makers to collaborate with the objective of delivering net zero-carbon buildings by 2050.
The BBP's Climate Commitment was signed by 24 CEOs and CIOs and covers more than £300 billion of assets under management. It acknowledged that with as much as 70 per cent of a building's emissions attributable to occupier activities, closer collaboration was needed to tackle climate change.
BBP said the forum would enable owners and occupiers to create strategic alliances, and share knowledge to scale up action across portfolios.
The BBP is inviting board members and property directors of occupiers to contact BBP CEO Sarah Ratcliffe directly by? the end of January 2020: [email protected]
