Our selection of workplace and facilities management announcements made this week.
RESTRUCTURE: Amulet, the specialist security solutions provider of the Churchill Group, has relocated its core security control hub. The new Command, Control and Intelligence Centre (CCIC) will enable the company to enhance its services, advance its technology and develop its people from one central location.
Sustainability: Veolia has become the first recycling and waste company to sign up as an 'enabling partner' to the Food Waste Reduction Roadmap - the programme supporting large businesses in reducing food waste within their own operations. The initiative aims to get businesses to reduce food waste by 50 per cent by 2030.
Sustainability: Sodexo has partnered with Veganuary, the non-profit organisation that encourages people to try vegan during the month of January, in response to the growing number of consumers who are reducing their meat consumption or adopting a fully plant-based diet. Sodexo supports Veganuary as many people turn to healthy eating regimes in the new year to offset festive indulgences. It is giving customers a helping hand by encouraging the uptake of plant-based meals throughout 'Veganuary'.
REBRAND: Coventry-based building support services contractor Regent Samsic is to rebrand as Samsic UK. Operational in more than 25 countries in Europe and surrounding regions, the company employs more than 90,000 staff that contribute daily to the performance of 30,000 corporate and institutional customers.
ACQUISITION: Imtech, jointly owned by EDF Energy, has acquired energy performance contractor Breathe. The acquisition will support EDF's commitment to help UK organisations achieve a sustainable low-carbon future.
