Axis Security and its front-of-house services business Acuity have been reappointed by Daiwa Capital Markets Europe to provide manned guarding and reception services at the investment bank's head office in London.
Axis and Acuity started working with Daiwa in 2015 and the contracts for manned guarding and reception services were re-tendered under a regular review of capabilities, costs and services.
Part of the retender saw the security team undergo cross-site training with officers visiting other Axis Security sites such as the Scalpel and Sea Containers House.
Peter Woods, head of facilities management at Daiwa, said Axis and Acuity were "committed to make further improvements to the service delivery" by introducing more training and technology to support the security officers. Woods noted the use of Tracktik to monitor patrols and Fastfields for real-time reporting.
A team of seven officers protects the property 24-hours a day, and a two-person reception team look after the front-of-house services during working hours. Acuity has also trained eight additional receptionists for the site so that any absences can be covered and additional support given at busy times.
David Mundell, managing director of Axis Security, said: "We are pleased to continue working with Daiwa, further improving our service and delivering the same high-levels of support they have come to expect."
