Atalian Servest has secured its fourth deal in 18 months with Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs (HMRC), adding operations at 14 more sites to its existing partnership with the government department.
The global services provider has been carrying out cleaning, catering and security operations at HMRC's Newcastle office since May 2018.
Services at these new sites will include cleaning, catering, reception, waste management, grounds maintenance, pest control, plus portering and mail, delivered by about 250 staff members.
Atalian Servest was appointed to supply several FM services owing to its "strong customer relationship, dedication to the estate's digital blueprint and impressive service delivery at HMRC's Newcastle site".
The contract allows Atalian Servest to help the government to deliver its Locations Programme, which aims to bring HMRC employees together in 13 large, modern office hubs across Great Britain. The regional centres will make use of the latest digital technology to provide "a modern, comfortable working environment that makes it easier to collaborate and work flexibly, whilst also delivering savings to the taxpayer".
The HMRC has been at the vanguard of the government's 'locations programme' to rationalise departmental offices.
