The Building Engineering Services Association (BESA) has published guidance to help clarify the government’s ‘Building a Safer Future’ consultation.

The factsheet outlines the main proposal areas and aims to demonstrate how the changes could affect organisations, as well as explaining how to contribute to the consultation.

Earlier this month the Ministry of Housing, Communities & Local Government published Building a Safer Future: Proposals for Reform of the Building Safety Regulatory System, which proposes fundamental reform of building safety requirements following the recommendations of Dame Judith Hackitt’s Independent Review of Building Regulations and Fire Safety.

The consultation deadline is July 31, however, BESA is asking members to provide feedback by 19 July to help shape the BESA submission.
