Mouchelbabcock Education, the joint venture between Babcock and business services group Mouchel, has signed a £167 million contract for new and refurbished school facilities with the London Borough of Hackney.
The 10-year deal is under the government's Building Schools for the Future programme and includes comprehensive infrastructure management and major IT investment.
Initial rebuild and refurbishment is already underway and eventually include six secondary schools and four special schools.
In June North Somerset Council awarded Mouchel a £2.1 million preferred bidder contract and a five-year fully managed service for IT hardware, software, for the new £30 million Nailsea Community School near Bristol.
