The Highways Agency has extended its contract with Taylor Woodrow Facilities Management, part of Vinci Facilities, until 2011.
The contract valued at £3.4m a year started in 2005 for the provision of FM services at seven regional control centres and 32 traffic officers' out-stations.
The buildings house IT and communication equipment in video control rooms for the Highways Agency and the police. They are operational 24 hours a day enabling the Highways Agency to manage the network and minimise congestion.
Taylor Woodrow's innovation and commercial control has resulted in annual savings of around £140,000, a statement from Vinci said.
Taylor Woodrow now provides procurement and stock management of consumables and equipment for the Highways Agency's traffic officer service vehicle fleet.
