Caterer and FM giant Sodexo has claimed a £9m contract with the University of Stirling in Scotland.
Sodexo will provide catering services for staff, visitors and commercial customers from October for a period of five years. Stirling has the option to extend the agreement for an additional two years.
As part of the contract, Sodexo will make a significant investment in a project to refurbish the catering facilities at the university. Work will include the creation of a new coffee shop.
Sodexo will manage the university's main Haldane's restaurant, offering a deli bar, salad bar and hot meals. It will also run a theatre-style cooking show each day for students.
The company will employ 36 members of staff to deliver catering, vending and hospitality services to the university's 10,000 students, 2,000 staff on-site and commercial customers.
