As part of Balfour Beatty's commitment to the local community, it has pledged a benefits package which includes 1,040 apprenticeship weeks of training during the construction period; mentoring and work placements to pupils in Derby, employment for local residents and work packages for local employers.
Balfour Beatty has reached financial close on the Derby City Building Schools for the Future project.
The group will carry out all construction and facilities management for the project that will deliver a new secondary school and the refurbishment of another.
