Medway Norse has expanded the grounds maintenance services it provides to the buildings of Medway Council in Kent.
Medway Norse Ltd, a joint venture between Medway Council and Norse Commercial Services, will take over the grounds maintenance at local amenity, recreational, sports and urban grounds sites, and Greenspace and Bereavement Services in Medway.
The additional services are worth around £5 million to Medway Norse, taking the company's annual turnover to over £12 million.
Ian Price, operations director of Medway Norse, said: "With the transfer of the additional resources we now also have the expertise to provide a wider range of services, to both private and public sector clients throughout the South-East."
He added: "The expansion will also increase our contribution to the local economy through new employment opportunities and our local sourcing strategy."
Medway Norse provides facilities management services that include cleaning, catering and maintenance for the council's 140 buildings, and for other local public and private sector organisations.
