Capita has been selected as preferred bidder to form a strategic partnership to deliver corporate services for Central London Community Healthcare NHS Trust (CLCH).
The contract is expected to be worth £80 million over 10 years to Capita while delivering significant budget savings to CLCH.
Capita will manage and deliver a range of core support services on behalf of the trust, including ICT, HR (payroll and recruitment), estates and facilities management followed by the planned delivery of finance services.
CLCH is the largest community healthcare services provider in London, with over 3,000 staff supporting a population of more than one million people across Barnet, Hammersmith & Fulham, Kensington & Chelsea and Westminster and beyond.
CLCH is one of only two NHS trusts in London, and one of only 18 across England, that exclusively delivers out-of-hospital, community-based NHS healthcare services.
Capita will also offer business development services to support the trust's service transformation and growth plans.
Andy Parker, chief executive at Capita, said: "The NHS continues to face significant challenges in delivering services more effectively and more efficiently while still improving patient care. This partnership will help support these ambitions by providing insight-driven, simplified, streamlined and cost-effective corporate services to CLCH."
James Reilly, chief executive of CLCH, added: "It will be a key part of helping us to deliver the savings needed in 2015/16 and beyond."
