Global real estate adviser CBRE has been reappointed to provide facilities management services to the NEC Group across its UK portfolio spanning more than two million square feet.
The extended agreement also includes support for the VOX Conference Centre in Resorts World Birmingham, a multi-use retail and leisure facility.
CBRE has delivered a range of services to the NEC Group since 2012, including mechanical and electrical (M&E), civil engineering, fabric maintenance, postal and automotive garage services alongside technical event services that provide electric, gas, water and waste supplies directly to exhibition stands.
John Hornby, chief operating officer at NEC Group, said: "CBRE is an important part of the team, ensuring we maintain our high operational standards and we are delighted to extend our relationship with them. We have ambitious plans to develop our business further. Having capable delivery partners such as CBRE working with us will be a significant contributor to our success in delivering against those plans."
The NEC won the Impact on Sustainability award at last year's BIFM Awards.
The NEC Group, founded in 1976, operates the National Exhibition Centre (NEC), the ICC, the Genting Arena (formerly the LG Arena) and the Barclaycard Arena (formerly the NIA) in Birmingham. It welcomes more than two million visitors a year.
The Barclaycard Arena, also owned by the group, is a mixed-used sports and entertainment venue that is to host the World Indoor Athletics Championships in 2018.
