Cushman & Wakefield has been appointed to provide property and facilities management services for the Crown Estate's £1.5 billion portfolio.
The five-year contract will see the Cushman & Wakefield also provide finance and business support, as well as work to implement the Crown Estate's sustainability strategy.
Cushman and Wakefield already provides property management services to the Crown Estate's Regent Street portfolio under the Regent Street Direct brand.
The Crown Estate's regional portfolio includes 40 assets with 600,000 square metres (6.5 million square feet) and almost 400 direct tenants. It includes industrial and office premises, and 14 retail parks in prime locations in Leeds, Slough, Portsmouth, Harlow and Nottingham.
The Crown Estate also has two joint venture partnerships with Land Securities at the Westgate Shopping Centre in Oxford, and the Princesshay Shopping Centre in Exeter.
Cushman & Wakefield UK chief executive Bryan Laxton said the regional portfolio was extensive and while predominantly retail, included a broad range of asset class with a national coverage.
"The appointment accords with our strategic vision to further strengthen our retail focus and national property management service line," he said.
Regional portfolio manager Jenny Mulligan, said: "Cushman & Wakefield put together an excellent proposal to manage our strategically important regional portfolio and build on the relationship we have developed with them on Regent Street since 2003. The portfolio has been at the centre of our strategy to rebalance our commercial assets and we have invested significantly in both prime retail assets and the in-house and outsourced skills to ensure the portfolio continues to outperform."
