BIFM chairman Julie Kortens has chosen the charities BIFM will support during her tenure through to 2016.
They are national charity Children with Cancer, which is dedicated to fighting all childhood cancers, and Shooting Star Chase, a hospice charity for babies, children and young people with life-limiting conditions, and their families.
Kortens said: "The generosity of BIFM members attending events and contributing to the BIFM charities never ceases to amaze me, and I look forward to these two excellent charities benefiting over the next 24 months.
"Children with Cancer gives grants to many organisations and charities based throughout the UK, and I've seen first-hand the amazing work carried out by Shooting Star Chase.
I hope that through the support of BIFM, our volunteers and our members, we can all come together and make a difference."
Members will be able to support the new charities from July 10 through donations at group events. Donations can be made directly through the BIFM finance department.
More information on the charities' work is available on the BIFM website.
